The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, nominated Avelino Corma, Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ) researcher to become the future president of the Strategic Innovation Committee (CEI). As part of the Valencian Innovation Agency, this new board will connect scientists, businessmen and technological institutes in order to contribute towards the research of solutions for the main challenges the Valencian production system faces today.
The composition of this expert group is agreed between three members: Miguel Burdeos, President of the Employers Federation Innovation Commission, Andrés Pedreño, expert in artificial intelligence and digitalization and Sebastián Subirats, on behalf of the technological institutes.
The Strategic Committee will act, in practice, through specialized strategic committees (CEE) that will have to provide unique solutions to each of the challenges identified by the CEI. Likewise, they will have the technical resources and budget support of the AVI for all the necessary actions aimed at proposing solutions to the opportunities proposed.
