Felipe Carrasco, regional secretary for Industry, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Generalitat Valenciana visited the SPB facilities in Cheste on Monday. The conference was organised by Quimacova, the Chemical and Environmental Association of the Valencian Chemical Sector, with the aim of fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors, as well as promoting innovation.
The meeting was led by Miguel Burdeos, president of SPB Global and Quimacova, and Gracia Burdeos, CEO of SPB Global. Also participating in the session were Jesús Carretero, Director of Quimacova; Jose Cabanes, General Manager of Business Development; David Casañ, General Manager of Operations & SCM; Natalia García, Corporate General Manager, and Sergio Belenguer, General Manager of Finance and Purchasing.
The Generalitat is committed to promoting collaboration with an economic sector that is at the forefront of innovation and which contributes 12% of industrial GDP to the Valencian economy. In addition, the regional secretary for Industry indicated that “it is essential to know the real needs of companies in order to adapt training profiles to guarantee employability”.
Miguel Burdeos underlined the importance of the collaboration with the regional administration: “These visits are crucial to strengthen the ties between the public and private sectors. They have allowed us to align strategies, understand each other’s needs and work together to generate wealth and improve the well-being of our society”.
