- These two actions are two of our most significant initiatives for our employees within the company
In 2023, SPB has brought back the Loyalty Awards and the Open Doors Day, two of our most important social and climate-related initiatives in the company. After the pandemic, it had been difficult to manage these types of initiatives, which are always so well received, but this year we have been able to carry them out without any type of restriction.
Open Doors Day
Firstly, in November we organised the Open Day at SPB Valencia and SPB Seville. Thanks to the work of the volunteers, more than four hundred family members were able to visit our production plants and the Innovation and Development Centre located in Cheste, as well as learn a little more about the history of SPB.
It is very exciting to see how our loved ones can see and understand how we work and where we do it, as well as to finally be able to put a face to those colleagues that we call so many of them at home.
Loyalty Awards
In December, and almost coinciding with the Christmas holidays, we held the Loyalty Awards, another of the great events in which SPB recognises the hard work and commitment of people who have been part of the SPB Global family for ten and twenty years.
On this occasion, fifty-four people received a gift from the company’s president, Miguel Burdeos. The awards ceremony was also attended by Gracia Burdeos, general manager, Amparo Andreu and the rest of the directors. SPB Sevilla was also present, as nine of the fifty-four award winners work at the Huévar plant, and Carlos Matabuena, plant manager, was in charge of presenting the gifts.
The event was doubly exciting because Gracia Burdeos was one of the award winners, as she celebrated twenty years working at SPB in 2023. She expressed that she feels truly fortunate to lead a company like SPB and wanted to dedicate the recognition to her parents, who have helped her to follow the legacy they once dreamed for her.
These awards are only a small tribute when compared to the great role that all these people have played for so many years at SPB. Many congratulations to all of them and thank you for your tireless work.
