- The group was able to visit the SPB1 production plant, located in Cheste, and also talk to Miguel Burdeos, president of SPB and director of the Chair.
Last Tuesday, 14th November, we welcomed a group of students from the Chair of Management and Business Culture, promoted by the Social Council of the UPV, to our facilities in Cheste. The students first visited SPB1, where they were accompanied by Javier Sanz, plant manager, to learn about the production process of the articles that we manufacture and produce in this plant.
Later, Miguel Burdeos, president of SPB Global and director of the Chair, received them at the Innovation Centre and shared with them the history of the company: its beginnings, its evolution over the years and its current challenges and objectives. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and share their concerns with him, as well as with Gracia Burdeos, SPB‘s CEO, and Natalia García, Director of People and Communication, who attended the presentation.
In this way, the students were able to be on the line, observing and learning first-hand how our industrial processes work, while also learning about the history of SPB and its founder, Miguel Burdeos, a great example of an entrepreneur and businessman. Both learning experiences are in line with the purpose of the chair, which aims to provide students with the basic knowledge necessary to create and successfully manage a company in all areas.
